You can configure Single Sign On (SSO) using SAML 2.0 on your portal, allowing you to control user authentication. When SSO is enabled, users sign in and become authenticated by your SSO system. Then using SAML, the user is granted access to ZixPort without performing a separate sign in. Effectively, your SSO system is the Identity Provider and ZixPort is the Service Provider.
You are responsible for installing or implementing a SAML Identity Provider based on the SAML 2.0 standard. You can also provide a link from your web site to your ZixPort secure messaging portal. When the user chooses to view their mailbox to open a message, the SAML authentication protocol is used.
Customers that implement SSO with their branded portal will not have access to any of the registration, sign in or password features described in this document. All registration, sign in and password capabilities are handled through your SSO system.
If you want to implement SSO with your secure portal, you must contact Client Services to coordinate the implementation.
