To open a secure message
Secure messages arrive in your inbox along with other messages.
Open the email and double click the attachment: SecureMessage.html.
The Sign In page displays in your local browser.
Enter your Password.
If
you would like to skip this screen next time, select the Remember
my password check box.
Note: The ZixDirect Remember
my password feature is only available in Version 3.1 of ZixVPM.
You must select this option for each sending organization if you want
your password saved. If you receive an email from another organization
and have not selected Remember my password,
you are prompted to log in again.
Click View Secure Message.
The new message displays in your browser.
If the decrypted message has an attachment, you can save it to your computer and then open it. See Save and Open Files Attached to Messages for help.
You can print the message by using your browser. See Print Messages for help.
To view files attachments
Select the attachment from the Attachments drop-down list.
A dialog box opens to allow you to save the attachment on your computer.
Browse to the location where you want to save your file.
Change the file name, if desired.
Note: The attachment is decrypted when you save it to your computer. Depending on the size of the attachment, it could take several minutes to save a file.
The file is now available on your computer. Use the relevant application Windows Explorer to open the file.
