Adding Appliances to a New Cluster

You add appliances to a cluster on the Manage Cluster tab of ZixGateway Manager. There are two ways to get to this tab.

• Select the Manage Cluster tab.
• On the Status tab, click (in the Manage Cluster column) for the cluster.

On the Manage Cluster tab, you can always identify the current cluster by looking at the top label bar. The Cluster drop-down list shows the current cluster. You can change the current cluster without going back to the Status tab by clicking the down-arrow and selecting a different cluster.

To add an appliance to a cluster

1. Select the Manage Cluster tab.
2. Select a cluster from the drop-down list.
3. Enter the name of the desired ZixGateway appliance in the Add a Server field. Use one of the following formats:

• Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN)
• IP address
• “localhost”
  This term can only be used for the appliance that ZixGateway Manager runs on.

4. Click Add.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for additional appliances in the cluster.
