Using the Glossary and Bindings Dialog

Even though you access the Glossary and Bindings dialog through a policy tab, Glossary entries are independent of the policy and cluster until you associate the Glossary entry with a policy (See Specifying the Search Scope). A Glossary entry defined for one policy can be used by any policy in any ZixGateway cluster managed by this ZixGateway Manager.

The Glossary and Bindings dialog is used to create a content pattern. This dialog is made up of three parts:

List of glossary entries
List of terms used to define a glossary entry
Set of forms used to define a term as
1. a string expression
2. a lexicon
3. an existing glossary entry

When you click in the edit portion of the tab, you see the list of existing Glossary entries in the Glossary and Bindings dialog.

If you select one of the existing Glossary entries to edit or review, the Define a New Glossary Entry sub-dialog is displayed with the list of terms used to define that entry.
