Sending Options

ZixPort is the solution for secure, browser-based e-messaging. ZixMail uses ZixPort to send your messages to people without ZixSignatures. To set your ZixPort options:

In ZixMail, on the Options menu, point to ZixPort and select one of the following options: 

• Never Use ZixPort
  Messages to people who do not have ZixSignatures are not sent if you select this option.
• Prompt for Use of ZixPort
  This is the default option. You are prompted before sending messages to people who do not have ZixSignatures via ZixPort.
• Allow Use of ZixPort
  This option automatically sends messages to people who do not have ZixSignatures via ZixPort.

Additionally, while sending a message, you have the option to automatically send messages to recipients without a ZixSignature via ZixPort. After you compose a message:

1. On the Sending ZixMail screen, select Advanced Options.
   The ZixPort Advanced Options screen displays.
2. Select the Send using ZixPort check box. You can also specify the following:

• Return pickup receipt to me when the recipient opens the message the first time.
• The number of days to hold the message for pickup (up to 21 days).

3. Click OK.
