With ZixDirect, you will have a different password for each sending organization. You can change your password for an organization if you have forgotten the password, want to change the password to one that you can remember more easily, or need to change the password for security reasons.
Any messages that you have previously received still uses the old password. However, you can change the password associated with an individual message to the current password. See Recover a Message for help.
To change a forgotten password
On the Sign-In page, click Forgot your password?.
The Register for New Password form displays with your email address in the Email Address field.
Enter a new password that complies with the rules that are shown to the right of the Password field.
Re-enter your new password in the Verify Password field.
Click Register Password.
A password change confirmation message displays with instructions on activating the new password.
Based on the sending organization's configuration, you may receive a confirmation email in your regular email inbox, with instructions to activate the new password. See Activate your Password for help.
Recover the message using the procedure in Recover a Message.
To change a known password
On the Sign-In page, click Change your password.
The Change your password link is available on every page that you can view a message from as well. The Change Password form displays with your email in the Email Address field.
Enter you current password in the Current Password field.
Enter a new password in the New Password field that complies with the rules that are shown at the right.
Re-enter your new password in the Verify New Password field.
Click Register Password.
A confirmation message displays in your browser.
Close the browser and return to the initial message in your inbox.
Double-click on the securemessage.html attachment.
The Sign In page displays in your local browser.
Log in using your old password.
The message displays.
