Setting Branding Policies

To set a branding policy

  1. On the Status tab, select a cluster.
  2. Select Manage Policies > Branding.
  3. The Label column of the Branding Policies for Cluster list contains a descriptive title for each policy. In general, selecting a policy’s label displays the full details of that policy in the Configure a Branding Policy section of this screen.

  4. Develop the branding policy in the upper part of the tab in the Edit a Branding Policy form.
    1. Enter a description policy name in the Label field.
    2. Enter the address of the sender in the From field.
    3. For outbound messages, the From field reflects users in your domains.  For inbound messages, the From field reflects users outside your domain.

See Defining the Sender and Recipient Patterns for valid values.

    4. Enter the address of the recipients in the To field.
    5. For outbound messages, the To field reflects users outside your domains.  For inbound messages, the To field reflects users in your domain.

See Defining the Sender and Recipient Patterns for valid values.

    6. Select or create any glossary entries you want to associate with the policy by clicking the button.
    7. See Creating Content Patterns or Specifying the Search Scope for help.

    8. Select the Send Options that will be affected by this policy.
    9. Select the trigger point in the Policy Trigger row.
    10. The Policy Trigger defines which messages are branded.

    1. Select (header) or  (footer) in the Branding row.
    2. Select HTML from the HTML/Text list, and click Browse to attach an HTML file of the branding message, if you want to have an HTML header or footer.
    3. ZixCorp recommends that you create the HTML in a text editor or another application instead of typing the HTML directly into the text box. ZixGateway Manager does not verify that you have entered valid HTML code.

For example, your HTML fragment may look like the following:

      <hr>
      <p><img src=“http://www.zixcustomer.com/images/zixcustomerlogo.jpg” width=“100” height=“75”>
<em><strong>The best in widgets for your home and office</strong></em></p>

    4. Click OPEN.
    5. You are returned to the Edit a Branding Policy form.

    6. Select Text from the HTML/Text list to define the text version of the same branding. You can either browse to a text file or type the text directly in the Branding text box.
    7. Select HTML and then Text from the HTML/Text list to confirm that both versions of your branding are properly defined.
    8. Repeat steps g through k for the other location if you want to have both a header and footer.
    9. Click Apply.
    10. Your labeled branding policy appears in the Branding Policies for Cluster section at the bottom of this screen.
